The class 442 "Talent 2" electric railcars - the prototype for the PIKO model - have been used in DB AG regional service and by private railroad companies throughout Germany since 2011. On a scale of 1:160, the distinctive end sections, the bogie panels, the housings, and the elaborately designed roof section are reproduced prototypically. The propulsion system has been accommodated in such a way that even in the small N scale, there is an almost unobstructed view through the car body and still good driving characteristics are ensured. For the uncomplicated installation of a digital decoder, the railcar has a PluX12 interface. In addition, the model is prepared for retrofitting with sound.

The PIKO model of the 1100 series of the Dutch State Railways NS in N-scale 1:160 is highly detailed with prototypical roof curves and many attached parts, such as fine insulators and pantographs, free-standing handlebars and stairs. The diesel locomotive NS 2200 in gray-yellow livery in Era III-IV. The model of the NS 2200 features the finest details of the body as well the heavy bogies of American design. The railings, which are very characteristic of this series, are elaborately etched metal parts. Following the proven design principles of PIKO, a motor with a precisely balanced flywheel drives all four axes. The two axles running on the inside are each equipped with a traction tire. The model has a PluX 12 interface and the light changes red/white when the direction of travel changes. This locomotive served pulling freight trains and in shunting service. For that reason, the PIKO model is designed to operate in radii down to 192 mm.

Novelty 2021: Rh 1200 of the NS in Ep. IV

The Model has been equipped with a Next18 interface. The red/white head/tail light will change with the direction of travel. Two wheels have traction tyres in a diagonal arrangement for optimum traction. The PIKO Model has excellent running characteristics and can easily operate through radii down to 192 mm. In addition, the Model is prepared for installation of a DCC Sound Decoder and a loudspeaker and will in DCC operations also provide additional control of the light system of the locomotive.

In addition to reliably functioning close coupler couplers for unit train use, the model has all of the prototypical details, whereby the grab irons, hand wheels, and brakeman´s platforms are separately applied in the required filigree design and are thus free-standing. PIKO offers the detailed model with regard to the preferred use in through block trains at the usual, optimal price-performance ratio. Technically-constructively, the model corresponds to #40710.

The shape, color and printing of the PIKO N model of the bulk goods wagon is exactly based on the model of the Transwagon folding. In addition to the reliably functioning close coupling linkages for block train use, the model has all the details of the prototype true to the prototype, with the handle bars, handwheels and brakeman's platforms being separated in the required filigree design and thus free-standing.
