Prototype: WABASH Railroad Alco PA-1 heavy diesel locomotive with 6 streamliner passenger cars. The train ran in the Fifties under the name "Blue Bird" between Chicago and St. Louis.

The Blue Bird was a streamlined passenger train operated by the Wabash Railroad and its successor the Norfolk and Western Railway between Chicago, Illinois, and St. Louis, Missouri. It operated from 1938 to 1971. Beginning in 1950 it was one of the few Wabash passenger trains to carry a dome car and the first dome train in regular operation between the two cities.

Model: The locomotive has an mfx digital decoder and extensive sound functions. It also has controlled high efficiency propulsion. 2 axles powered. Traction tires. The headlight is a warm white LED. All of the cars have factory-installed interior lighting. The observation car has a red marker light. The cars receive current from the locomotive by means of a current-conducting close coupler. The headlight and the interior lighting will work in conventional operation and can be controlled digitally. Total train length approximately 176 cm / 69-1/4".
