(Abraham Lincoln Commemorative, gray, maroon, red) - Standard DC
On July 1st, 1862, during the American Civil War, Abraham Lincoln signed The Pacific Railway Act which jumpstarted the construction of the transcontinental railroad in the United States. This act provided loans and grants to Union Pacific and was directly tied to the war effort which boosted the Union’s communities and military outposts. This engine features a distinct red, black, and grey paint scheme that pays tribute to Union Pacific No. 119, which was a 4-4-0 steam locomotive that was present during the Golden Spike ceremony which commemorated the completion of the transcontinental railroad.
