This has caused a great response: On July 9, 2021, the DB sent an ICE 3 – the Tz 304 powered rail car train "München" with the two powered end cars, road numbers 403 022-7 and 403 504-4 – out on to the rails. The railroad wants to set an example with this for diversity and tolerance, for collective respect and trust, and for respectful contact with the diversity of all human beings. This powered rail car train is running in the rotational schedule of the ICE 3 and as the "Railbow ICE" is thereby carrying a quite special message all over Germany.

The Class 66 on the HGK
Cologne Harbor and Freight Service, Inc. (HGK) Class 66 In 1999, the Cologne Harbor and Freight Service, Inc. (HGK) initially leased 2 locomotives as road numbers DE 61 and 62, which it then bought in 2000/01. Other units were available for lease so that the HGK (today RheinCargo, Inc. RCH) currently has a roster of nine units. Since the start of unit services, etc., tank car trains to Braunschweig, Ingolstadt, Marktredwitz, and Aichstetten are often powered the entire way with a class 66. These locomotives can also be seen pulling unit trains with different loads.

Between December 2008 and April 2010, the SNCF subsidiary "SNCF Fret Benelux" active for a short time in international freight service initially leased three class 66 locomotives with the road numbers 6601-6603 from "CBRail Leasing" at that time. Road numbers 6604-6606 were occasionally added to the roster. These units were used in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, and Germany mostly pulling container, tank car, and other unit trains. All of this only lasted a short time, because the foreign business for SNCF Fret Benelux went in the spring of 2010 into the newly established "CapTrain", in which several railroad companies were merged

The real life prototype was built in 1957 in Europe as a first class TEE and ran starting in 1978 from Toronto in Canada up to the high North. Märklin presented a limited special model in the same year, a model subsequently reaching sensational collector prices. In 1998, five Northlander cars came back to Europe. Märklin supported this spectacular promotion and finally ranked the train in the gallery of the most striking Märklin prototypes. By the end of DB steam locomotive operation, road number 44 1315 (starting in 1968: 043 315), an oil-fired freight locomotive carried on its service without hesitation, finally at Emden pulling mostly heavy ore trains in the Emsland area. Even on October 26, 1977 – the last day of DB steam locomotive operation – it showed one more time what it could do. Towards two in the afternoon, it was pulling one of those famous 4,000 metric ton ore trains under the gaze of a large number of photographers from the ore station to the Emden freight yard. On September 12, 2018, it moved back up to a star position, when it moved in as a tremendous spectacle and to the applause of numerous onlookers as a new landmark of the Märklineum in Göppingen.

The Reliable One
Between 1909 and 1916, 572 pieces of this class of tank locomotive were built for various railroad companies. Most of them were used in Prussia. Their great reliability assured these units an extremely long service life. Road number 92 532 was built in 1910 by the Union Foundry Company in Königsberg under builder number 1863. At the end of the Fifties, it was stationed in Minden. There it was retired on August 5, 1959.
