Diesel locomotive (NS) #2207, Era III-IV

The diesel locomotive NS 2200 in gray-yellow livery in Era III-IV. The model of the NS 2200 features the finest details of the body as well the heavy bogies of American design. The railings, which are very characteristic of this series, are elaborately etched metal parts. Following the proven design principles of PIKO, a motor with a precisely balanced flywheel drives all four axes. The two axles running on the inside are each equipped with a traction tire. The model has a PluX 12 interface and the light changes red/white when the direction of travel changes. This locomotive served pulling freight trains and in shunting service. For that reason, the PIKO model is designed to operate in radii down to 192 mm.

Novelty 2021: Rh 1200 of the NS in Ep. IV

The Model has been equipped with a Next18 interface. The red/white head/tail light will change with the direction of travel. Two wheels have traction tyres in a diagonal arrangement for optimum traction. The PIKO Model has excellent running characteristics and can easily operate through radii down to 192 mm. In addition, the Model is prepared for installation of a DCC Sound Decoder and a loudspeaker and will in DCC operations also provide additional control of the light system of the locomotive.

PIKO has perfectly matched the exterior design of the three-phase locomotive. Details such as the type DSA 350 single-arm pantographs have been reproduced in filigree. The sharply engraved bogies behind the low skirts round off the visual impression of the locomotive excellently. A powerful mid-mounted motor provides propulsion in the model. Two brass flywheel masses on the motor shaft provide excellent synchronization. The locomotive also has two diagonally arranged wheels with traction tires. In addition to the top lighting in LED technology, the model also has cab lighting. This BR 101 has a PSD XP S sound decoder of the latest generation PIKO TrainSound®.
