This PIKO Expert model of the Dutch State Railways (NS) class 1100 impresses with successful mold construction, harmonious roof roundings, and many applied parts, such as fine insulators and pantographs, free-standing grab irons, and stairs. The model has the matching lamp molds, sharply engraved bogie covers with realistic spring assembly reproductions and faithful reproductions of the buffer planks.

The lighting is provided by LEDs. The cab and engine room lights as well as the front and rear lights that work depending on the direction of travel can be controlled digitally with a PluX22 decoder.

The NCTD Sprinter provides modern diesel-powered commuter service in Northern San Diego County. It connects with trains of Amtrak’s Surfliner, plus commuter services of Metrolink and the Coaster. The PIKO models feature new tooling for the larger rooftop AC units.

After the D.145, another model of an Italian shunting locomotive appears as a new design with the D.141, which is a few years older. The pleasing model, combined with the meticulous model implementation typical of PIKO, can be expected to be both inspiring and operational. It is already clear that the model will be an eye-catcher on every model railway layout due to absolutely precise engravings, the finest details and a perfect implementation of the model color design.

A PIKO SmartDecoder 4.1 with sound is installed ex works. Fitting parts for the exemplary design of the buffer screed are enclosed with the model.

The new PIKO NoHAB models the undisputed elegance of the prototype. The side ventilation grilles are made with fine etched parts. The distinctive front side windows as well as the side "portholes" contribute to the excellent image with their perfectly flush fit. This is completed by the precise and highly detailed design of the bogies. A powerful and smooth-running motor with two flywheels serves as propulsion. Various lighting functions and the gritty sound of the sound versions provide varied operation on the layout. The SNCB series 52 model has a PluX22 interface and is prepared for easy retrofitting of a digital decoder as well as sound.

This PIKO model is true to the prototype by the finest painting and printing, free-standing handle bars, a zinc die-cast frame and a powerful five-pole motor, which in combination with two balanced flywheel masses guarantees balanced running characteristics. Lighting is provided by LEDs. The cab lighting and the tail light can be switched digitally with a PluX22 decoder. The model has two traction tires that sit in a diagonal arrangement on the inner axles of the two bogies. The power is drawn from all of the wheels. The model is installed with DCC/sound on a PluX22 interface.

The highly detailed model serve justice to this legendary prototype. The model is prototypical down to the smallest detail.
