The PIKO model has sharply engraved bogie panels with realistic spring package replicas and faithful replicas of the buffer planks. The lighting is provided by LEDs. The cab and engine room lights as well as the front and tail lights that function depending on the direction of travel can be digitally switched with the PluX22 decoder. The heavy die-cast zinc frame and the engine with two large, precisely balanced fly-wheels ensure excellent handling characteristics and high tensile forces. A PIKO SmartDecoder 4.1 with mfx capability and sound is factory installed.

BR E94 (DR) electric locomotive, Era III

This BR E 94 model is true to the prototype in overall appearance and characteristics. Thanks to a dovetail guide between the engine front ends and the bridge frame, the model lies snugly on the track and is very agile at the same time. The mid-mounted motor with two flywheel masses ensures smooth running, and the tractive effort is increased by two diagonally arranged traction tires. In conjunction with a digital decoder, many prototypical light functions can be switched, among which the starting lights underneath the cab windows take on a special significance.

This PIKO Expert model of the Dutch State Railways (NS) class 1100 impresses with successful mold construction, harmonious roof roundings, and many applied parts, such as fine insulators and pantographs, free-standing grab irons, and stairs. The model has the matching lamp molds, sharply engraved bogie covers with realistic spring assembly reproductions and faithful reproductions of the buffer planks.

The lighting is provided by LEDs. The cab and engine room lights as well as the front and rear lights that work depending on the direction of travel can be controlled digitally with a PluX22 decoder.

This is a high-precision manufactured model, based on a solid zinc die-cast frame and equipped with proven PIKO standards. The proven PIKO motor provides excellent running characteristics with two large flywheel masses. Traction by all four axels and two traction tires, which are located on the inside running axles of both bogies in a diagonal arrangement to each other. The front and rear lamps are illuminated by LEDs whose red and white colors change with the direction of travel. The outwardly elegant appearance of this model includes an accurately reproduced technical "roofscape" and carefully detailed bogies with prototypical wheel disc profiles.
